Prior to the saggar firing – you will need to make items for the saggar firing. You’ll need one medium size item or two smaller items bisque ware which would be packed together, one parcel per participant.

Bowl making workshops with Alex Prentice

Saturday 25 november:
Intermediate 9am-12pm | Advanced 1-4pm

The intermediate workshop is for people who can already make a small bowl and are now working/moving on to a larger amount of clay say 500g-1kg. The emphasis of this workshop will be to use your clay effectively when making your bowl. What to bring bit.ly/CPA-bowlI

The advanced workshop is for potters that are at the intermediate stage and want to move on to larger bowls using 1.5-2.5kg of  clay. There will be greater opportunity to practice altering a bowl’s shape in this workshop. What to bring bit.ly/CPA-bowlA.

Plaster bat making workshop with Andrew Mckaskell & friends

Sunday 1 October: 10am -12pm
A hands-on workshop where you will make a large plaster bat suitable for drying clay. Andrew will also demonstrate how to make a mould from a simple shape. We will supply plaster, a tray to make your bat in and the water!

You will need to bring:

  • a clean 10 litre bucket
  • a P2 dust mask.

Cost: $20 per person

AGM Auction and & unveiling

Sunday 24 September: 12:30pm 

Come at 12.30pm for the unveiling of our commemorative garden created for those who are no longer with us.

AGM starts at 1pm and our annual auction follows.

If you would like to donate pottery/ ceramic items please drop them off and leave them in the office. We gladly accept jam, pickles, preserves, walnuts and plants! Sorry we are unable to accept made-up glazes.
